Two of the secrets were revealed in 1941 and said to be about Hell, World War I and World War II. The third secret was written down by the child, now Sister Lucia, after much coaxing from a Bishop. She instructed it not to be unsealed and revealed until 1960. The Vatican through-out the decades side-stepped questions about the third secret's meaning. In year 2000 the Vatican under public pressure said the third secret was in regard to the assassination attempt of Pop John Paul II on May 13, 1981. That statement not convincing to too many, but possibly fragments of the secret while keeping the real secret meaning away from the public.
Oddly in 1981, the same year Pope John Paul II was shot, the Holy Mother Mary returned again, in Medjugorje, Bosnia unto six Herzegovinian children.
In Medjugorie the Holy Mother apparition is said to still continue to visit, doing so regularly for the last 35 years. Once again, the children were given 10 secrets; dates and places when and where something significant was going to happen. The children are not permitted and may not reveal their secrets until the foretold time provided by the Holy Mother.
One child worried about remembering places and dates was said to be given a parchment, the material of which, not of this earth. The child, instructed upon ten days before an event, to give parchment to a chosen priest and then only one secret would be revealed from the cloth to the priest. The priest after praying and fasting would then release the secret to the public three days before it was set to occur.

Mysterious circumstances surround the 3rd Secret.
Pope John Paul I was said to have read the third secret on his 32nd day of his papacy and shook with horror. Pope John Paul I announced through the Vatican press office that the following day he was going to address the world on matter "...of utmost importance to all humanity." This announcement coming the afternoon before his mysterious death, his lifeless body discovered at 4:45 a.m. on September 29, 1978. Pope John Paul II, "It should be sufficient for all Christians to know this much: if there is a message in which it is said that the oceans will flood entire sections of the earth; that, from one moment to the other, millions of people will perish... there is no longer any point in really wanting to publish this secret message."
Pope John Paul II passed just on April 2, 2005, the Saturday following Easter Sunday. Just months before his death, on December 26, 2004 the World's Deadliest Tsunami tore across the Indian Ocean and throughout Indonesia killing tens of thousands.
